Understanding the Nashville Hispanic Community

The Hispanic community is the fastest growing segment of the population in Nashville. While many nonprofits provide services to this population, they don’t necessarily understand the important cultural differences of the Hispanic community. This session, presented by Conexion Americas, will allow you to improve your cultural competency through Hispanic diversity training. Participants will look at changing demographics of the Latino community in Nashville; the complexity of the social, economic, cultural, legal, and political issues, which locally impact the Latino experience; and how the nonprofit sector can best serve this growing population.
