Career Transition: What’s it Like to Work in the Nonprofit Sector?

This class is designed for professionals at any level (beginning or more experienced) who want to learn more about the nonprofit sector.


Have you found yourself talking with your friend over coffee, saying things like, “my work needs to serve a higher purpose” or “to advocate for this cause every day wouldn’t even feel like working…” or “raising money doesn’t seem that hard!”?   Well, let’s talk.  If you are looking to begin a career in the nonprofit sector, you need to ask questions and learn more about the sector before you dazzle in that first interview.   


Through this workshop, participants will:

  • Gain general knowledge of the nonprofit sector
  • Learn ways to challenge him/herself while working with specific organizations
  • Understand ways to involve and invest him/herself to develop the right skills and contacts for a new job in the nonprofit sector
