Speaking the Language of Numbers: An Introduction to Financial Management

One elective credit toward Nonprofit Essentials certificate.

This workshop is designed for those new to the field of financial management.

Can you recognize and understand the technical jargon associated with financial management? Do you know what cash and accrual, restricted and unrestricted funds, and basic financial statements mean? Come to this workshop to learn these terms, and also to understand the different types of financial statements used in nonprofit organizations. 


Through this workshop, participants will:
  • Understand financial statements, including what basic financial information is available on on each financial statement. 
  • Apply basic financial information to make sound financial decisions for the organization and utilize resources effectively.
