How to Raise the Money You Need: The Fundamentals of Fundraising

One credit toward Revenue Development certificate (Prerequisite for this certificate)

New development professionals and other employees with resource development responsibilities will benefit from learning these essential revenue development tools and strategies.

The nonprofits that survive, grow, and make a difference are the ones who understand how fundraising is intricately woven with accomplishing the mission. This workshop will introduce participants to the art of fundraising while exploring the needed proficiencies, and the class will discuss the critical importance of a strategic plan,  and development plan. Participants will also explore sources of contributions, the reasons that donors give, and techniques needed for different constituencies.

Through this workshop, participants will:

  • Understand foundational fundraising best practices
  • Learn how to create a development plan and a case statement
  • Understand the techniques for identification, cultivation, and stewardship of donors.

CNM is an approved provider for CFRE International Continuing Education Program. Full participation in the How to Raise the Money You Need: The Fundamentals of Fundraising is applicable for up to six (6.00) continuing education points in Category 1.B – Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.
