Develop Your Fundraising Plan

This workshop is designed for those new to the field of revenue development, board members involved in strategic fundraising, or anyone with a development aspect to his/her position.

All workshop registrants will receive a pre-workshop assignment with information/data on what to bring to make the most of your time in this session.

In revenue development, there is no shortage of good ideas and ways to raise money. There is, however, a shortage of time, money, staff and other resources. Having a strong fundraising plan to guide and direct your activities and maximize the investments of time and staff is key to reaching your fundraising goals and objectives.

This workshop will give professionals and board members the opportunity to develop vital planning documents for their organizations with guidance and support from a senior professional. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves for a hands-on, interactive, and engaging workshop that gives you the tools and techniques to work with your staff and board to develop your own fundraising plan.

Participants will learn how to:
  • Determine staff vs. volunteer roles in fundraising
  • Identify areas of greatest potential for raising funds
  • Develop skills to lead a process through which staff and board can create a plan for their agency
  • Analyze trends and data to help develop strategies and tactics for a fundraising plan
