Advanced Grant Writing

One elective credit toward Revenue Development Certificate

This workshop is intended for those who already have a basic knowledge of grant writing and who have written grants before. We recommend taking the Basic Grant Writing course as a prerequisite but it is not required.

So you know the basics... now come get advanced, in-depth help from an expert. Attendees will practice writing and critiquing different parts of a proposal, receive additional information on funding sources, and learn how grant reviewers analyze and review grant proposals.

Through this workshop, participants will:

  • Utilize a concept paper and use it to write an effective letter of inquiry
  • Write compelling sections of a proposal
  • Use the common grant application as a guide for writing grants
  • Understand funder pet peeves and how to cultivate funder relationships effectively

CNM is an approved provider for CFRE International Continuing Education Program. Full participation in the Advanced Grant Writing is applicable for up to six (6.00) continuing education points in Category 1.B – Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.
