Power Funders Series: Legacy Giving & Endowments

Workshop Prerequisite: Attendees must be in leadership and managing roles with 5 years’ of experience (i.eCEOs, Development Directors, and Senior Staff Members).

Intimidated by the legal jargon surrounding legacy giving and endowments? Don’t be.

This session will help development directors cut through the daunting legal terms and learn how to successfully manage legacy giving and endowments. Participants will get an overview of endowments, legacy giving, planned giving and trends.

Through this session, participants will:
  • Develop an understanding of the long-term value for legacy giving as it relates to endowments
  • Learn how using blended gifts (annual and deferred) will increase overall giving and positively impact legacy giving
  • Understand current trends in giving and how they are similar/ different than in other generations
  • Understand various charitable vehicles and how to help donors make the most of giving to an organization

CNM is an approved provider for CFRE International Continuing Education Program. Full participation in Power Funders Series: Legacy Giving & Endowments is applicable for up to two (2.00) continuing education points in Category 1.B – Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.
