This workshop is designed for volunteer managers interested in detailed instruction about how to implement a volunteer program. This class is part 1 of a 4-part series, and it is recommended that you sign up for all 4 parts.

Areyou feeling overwhelmed or lost with the day-to-day operation of your volunteerprogram? Have you recently been tasked with building a successful volunteerbase for your agency? Running a successful volunteer program requiresimplementing smart management systems and procedures. This half day session isthe first of a 4-part series exploring Volunteer Program Management. Topicscovered will include: Volunteer Program design, job descriptions, and volunteermanagement cycle. Participants are encouraged to bring relevant challenges aswe troubleshoot together.

Throughout this series, participants will be able to:
  • Effectively assess current level of volunteer engagement 
  • Recognize the various aspects of the volunteer management cycle
  • Understand the planning process of volunteer management
  • Create an effective volunteer job description
