Volunteer Program Management: Part 4

Workshop Prerequisite: Attendees must have attended Volunteer Program Management: Parts 1-3. This workshop is designed for volunteer managers interested in detailed instruction about how to implement a volunteer program. This class is part 4 of a 4-part series, and it is recommended that you sign up for all 4 parts. 


Are you feeling overwhelmed or lost with the day-to-dayoperation of your volunteer program? Have you recently been tasked withbuilding a successful volunteer base for your agency? Running a successfulvolunteer program requires implementing smart management systems andprocedures. This half-day session is the last class in a four-part seriesexploring Volunteer Program Management. Topics covered will include: volunteerprogram visioning, risk management, and technology trends. Participants areencouraged to bring relevant challenges as we troubleshoot together.


Throughout this series, participants will be able to: 
  • Design an effective volunteer program that best utilizes technology trends
  • Successfully identify and manage risk associated with volunteer engagement
  • Understand outcomes vs. outputs and the power of collecting data
  • Document where your program is now, where you want to see it in a year, and what concrete steps you need to take to get there
