Are You Ready for a Capital Campaign?

One elective credit toward Revenue Development Certificate

This session is designed for individuals in leadership roles or board member positions that are considering a capital campaign for their organization.

Is your organization thinking about a bricks and mortar campaign? If so, you might want to check out this introductory course to help you explore the possibilities and challenges of a capital campaign. Capital campaigns require extraordinary preparation and skillful execution.  Before starting a capital campaign you must determine the following:

  • Perceptions and image of the organization in the community
  • Likely success of the campaign
  • The organization’s real and perceived fundraising strengths and weaknesses
  • Strength/weakness of organization’s board and staff
  • Possible leaders of the campaign
  • Potential major donors
  • When to launch the campaign

Find out what's involved, the essential elements for success and how to move ahead with planning. After this preparedness session, we recommend attending the second workshop in this series, "Conducting a Capital Campaign," which outlines tips for the actual execution of a capital campaign.

Register for the second part of Conducting a Capital Campaign and save $20 off the total cost of registration and we’ll provide lunch! Contact us for more information on this discount opportunity.
