Power Funders Series: Changing Landscape of Philanthropy

One credit towards Power Funders Certificate

Workshop Prerequisite: Attendees must be in leadership and managing roles with 5 years’ of experience (i.eCEOs, Development Directors, and Senior Staff Members).

Philanthropy isn’t what it used to be. In a climate of instantaneous global connection and entrepreneurship, our donors expectations are different and the ways that they want to connect with us are taxing the systems we have always relied on. Is direct mail dead and being replaced by Facebook campaigns? Should I give up my long time donors to chase a new generation of future supporters?

We will cover many of these challenges in this interactive discussion session and will try to capture some of the buzzwords flying around fundraising these days including giving clubs, impact investing, generational differences, collective impact, crowdfunding, wealth transfer, globalization and more.
