Charting Your Roadmap: The Business Planning Process for Nonprofits

One elective credit toward Revenue Development Certificate

This course is designed for key players in developing a business plan for their organizations.

A business plan gives your organization a roadmap for its future, but it requires a lot of planning. The business planning process provides an opportunity to look at the organization holistically, determining the relationship between mission demand and need, and the resources required to deliver high-quality value over the long term.

Part art and part science, the planning process requires diverse insight and clarity in order to carefully allocate resources for maximum yield. This workshop will provide participants with the necessary perspective and tools to apply to their own organizations.

Through this workshop, participants will:
  • Understand uses and applications of business plans
  • Understand the business planning process
  • Arrange information and insight into a cogent document for particular purposes
