This workshop is ideal for seasoned or novice board members and all are encouraged to attend.


Are you about to take over the role of board president? Start your term off on the right foot with this workshop. Learn simple strategies to keep your organization focused on results and your fellow board members energized and engaged. This interactive session covers an overview of basic responsibilities, strategic planning, succession planning, committee structure and effectiveness, orientation, and more.


Through this workshop, participants will:

  • Gain comprehension on how to utilize key government tools
  • Be able to link the organization's mission to the strategic planning, budget, board committee work and board recruitment
  • Understand the respective roles of the board of directors and employees as a relationship through the board chair and executive director to execute the mission
