This workshop is perfect for those new to the nonprofit sector who want to learn more about one of the critical tenets of nonprofit best practices, or for those who have never been involved in the strategic planning process. For those already familiar with the process, we recommend 'Intermediate Strategic Planning."

Does the idea of creating a strategic plan seem overwhelming? Most people agree it is important for organizations to have a plan for success. In this half-day workshop, learn the what, why and how of strategic planning and learn practical ideas for getting started and ways to create an actionable plan that links with "big picture" vision.

Through this workshop, participants will:
  • Identify the role and rationale for strategic planning.
  • Recognize and work through examples of key plan components.
  • Explore culture fit and priorities to identify the best planning approach for you.
