Components of a Strong Brand

We recommend "Building the Value of Your Brand" as a prerequisite to this workshop, but it is not required. This session is recommended for executive directors, and any development and marketing and communications professionals.

The effectiveness of your organization in accomplishing its mission and in raising funds depends heavily on the strength of its brand — what people perceive about your organization. Much of that perception is based on how well you communicate with them both verbally and visually.

In this two-hour hands-on session, we will explore the components of an effective brand, learn why branding is so important to the nonprofit sector, discover why strong visuals are key, and determine how you can improve your organization's brand in just a few simple steps. You will leave the session with insight and tools for building and maintaining your strong brand.

By the end of this session, participants will:
  • Understand the components of a brand
  • Develop the framework for creating these strong brand components
  • Identify next steps for strengthening your own organization's brand
