Introduction to Advocacy

In this foundational session, learn what advocacy is and how nonprofits can become better advocates for their mission. Explore the legal guidelines for this type of work, and how advocacy differs from lobbying. We will also discuss how advocacy differs on the city, state, and federal levels. Also participants will learn tips for how to navigate the changes from the recent November Elections. Each person will leave better understanding what you can do to become an advocate for your organizational mission.
