Beth Uselton, Program Director for Advocacy & Access, The Healing Trust
Beth Uselton joined the staff in November 2012 to work on a specificplanning initiative centered on coordination for insurance enrollmentand outreach related to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.Beth's focus is on coordinating an advisory council for state wideoutreach and to provide technical assistance to non-profits that wouldlike to provide navigation and consumer assistance related to the newinsurance marketplace. Beth is the former Executive Director for theTennessee Health Care Campaign, a non-partisan consumer advocacyorganization with a 22-year history of working toward affordable accessto high-quality health care for all Tennesseans. Since 2009, Beth hastracked and researched the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act,presenting information for public education and working withpolicymakers, members of the media, medical providers, social workersand community leaders to help them understand provisions of the federalhealth care law. Beth is a former AmeriCorps volunteer and servedin National Civilian Community Corps. Beth received her B.S. inCultural Anthropology from Appalachian State University.
