Elizabeth Madsen, Director of Nonprofit and Volunteer Relations,Hands On Nashville

Elizabeth Madsen is Hands On Nashville’s Director of Nonprofit and Volunteer Relations.  In this role, she oversees HON’s relationships with partner service agencies and the volunteers who support their work.  She specializes in creation of service activities for groups and manages HON’s web-based volunteer storefront.  Elizabeth trains and supports HON’s dedicated core of Volunteer Leaders who guide the more than 400 service opportunities available each month at


Originally from Texas, Elizabeth came to Nashville to attend Vanderbilt University.  She graduated with a B.A. in Sociology and English and recently earned a Master in Liberal Arts and Science degree at Vanderbilt.  Elizabeth worked in publishing and at the Episcopal Cathedral prior to joining the Hands On Nashville staff.  In her spare time, she volunteers for the Elephant Sanctuary and the Nashville Zoo.
