Sarah Bounse is a facilitator, strategist and trainer who works alongside organizations to best serve their mission and vision. Sarah’s expertise lies in equity work – she has developed and created internal equity infrastructure, led and facilitated anti-racism initiatives, and led and developed authentic community engagement strategies in her current and past roles. She values clear and transparent communication, consensus decision-making, and power-sharing in the work she engages in.

Sarah currently serves as the Health Equity Coordinator for Nashville’s Metro Public Health Department (MPHD). Her work primarily focuses on internal efforts to institutionalize and operationalize health equity within the department. Prior to her position with MPHD, Sarah worked for the Knox County Health Department in Knoxville, TN, in which she employed community engagement strategies to build relationships with community members and prioritize community voice throughout her work. Sarah has a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from the University of Tennessee.
