Chastity Mitchell, Regional Vice-President, Advocacy, American Heart Association, Greater Southeast Affiliate
Chastity Mitchell has been in the area of Government Relations throughout the Southeast and Tennessee General Assembly for over 17 years. She is the Regional Vice-President for Advocacy for the American Heart Association where she supervises a team of lobbyists and grassroots professionals working on policy issues at the state and local level. She previously worked as a Contract Lobbyist for CHART and as the Government Relations Director for the American Cancer Society. She was selected as a Leadership Fellow in Tobacco Control by the Advocacy Institute in Washington DC. Before working on public health issues, she worked on environmental issues and served as a staff person for the Tennessee State Senate. Mitchell received her JD degree from Nashville School of Law in 2002, and a BS in Political Science from Middle Tennessee State University in 1997.
