Kim Thomason, Thomason Financial Resources
Kim Thomason, CEO, is a CPA, member of both the Tennessee State Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs, and has over 30 years of diverse, progressive experience in financial management for a number of industries including not-for-profit, banking, insurance brokerage and technology. Thomason Financial Resources was founded in 2003. Kim has also represented and played various critical roles in the Nashville and Middle Tennessee communities as a volunteer, currently serving on the board of The Healing Trust Foundation as Audit Committee Chair, founding board member on STEM Prep Academy, and Board Treasurer on Thisbe and Noah Scott Foundation.
Ms. Thomason graduated from Auburn University in 1986 in accounting and started her career with Price Waterhouse (now known as Price Waterhouse-Coopers). She spent six years with Price Waterhouse auditing clients in the banking, insurance brokerage and manufacturing industries as well as in the not for profit sector. Prior to starting her CPA firm in 2003, she spent three years as the Director of Internal Controls for a local public company here in Nashville.
In addition, Ms. Thomason has represented and played various critical roles in the Nashville and Middle Tennessee communities as a volunteer including being the first woman President for the Nashville Area Junior Chamber of Commerce, an alumni of Leadership Nashville, and holding several past board positions on Not For Profit boards here in Nashville including United Way of Metropolitan Nashville, Girl Scouts of Cumberland Valley and the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce.
